A major site linking the Vosges to Alsace

The highest pass in the Vosges at 1139 m, this site is a starting point for many hiking trails (GR5, sentier des roches, etc.). Crossed by the Route des Crêtes, the site offers a privileged view of the many peaks of the Vosges and Black Forest massifs, as well as the Alps on a clear day. Gourmet hikers will appreciate the many farm inns along the way, providing an opportunity to sample local specialities and products.

The Col de la Schlucht offers a wide range of activities. In winter, it is a popular destination for downhill and cross-country skiers. Summer activities include mountain biking, paragliding, motorcycling, summer tobogganing and, of course, hiking.
